The Mid Terms

It doesn’t look good, at least to me. I voted for Trump, sent him money, and his promises to seal the borders and shrink the government, gave him a literal ‘landslide.’ The landslide, was because he won so many states, even though he only got five million more votes than Biden. He got them in all of the states it seemed, and his Electoral College votes, made it a literal landslide. Trump even got more Hispanic and black votes, than any Republican had ever gotten before. It looked ever so sure of a literal transformation of America! Whoopee!

Now look at what has happened. Trump has signed 212 Executive Orders. Many are pointless, but he loves to show his elaborate signature. Did he invent that upon winning? Mine’s a simple DS and it takes a half second to do. A week ago, the Democrats won just about everywhere, and in my opinion, Trump has lost the mid-term elections already, even if he stopped doing what he is currently doing, it may be too late.

He never ran on sending troops to American cities, telling the outraged mayors and governors that he was going to fix the lackadaisical performance of their police and sheriffs. He doesn’t care that he has outraged just about everyone by doing that. “I’ll fix it,” he said, and their answer in 100% of the cities, was “It isn’t broken.” Nothing is fixed, other than state, county, and city officials, and even the populace, have had plenty of his overbearing attitudes and actions. If the local cops aren’t doing a good job, that’s not a National Guard case. Let their governing bodies fix it, and if they don’t, who cares, as they never voted for Trump anyway. Doesn’t look good for 2026, as of now, and I doubt that Trump realizes it or cares, or he wouldn’t have spent the first part of his Presidency, making a fool of himself.

Trump never ran on tariffs, which he changes, sometimes daily, at his whim. Trump tariffs have alienated Canada, Mexico, the UK, and most of Europe, who used to like us. I hope that the Supremes rule against Trump’s tariffs, which he has used an ancient law, to ‘legalize’ them. Trump says his tariffs are bringing manufacturing back to America, but long before his tariffs, individual states, counties and cities, lured factories back to America, by giving reduced taxes on land, easy zoning, utilities, and other ways, to increase employment and their vitality. I have yet to see the first brick of a new factory, which Trump’s tariffs have brought back to America, although the lies and gross exaggerations continually are emitted from his never ending press conferences. Please see my July 14th column, which you can find on our web site (Coloradogold.com) and click on Don’s columns, or go on line and look up “Smoot Hawley Tariffs.” Had Donald Trump consulted history’s tariff records, and even realized how he has angered just about every nation which used to be our friend, this would not now be in the hands of the Supreme Court.

If millions of protests were sent to Donald Trump, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave N.W. Washington D.C. 20500, it might help. It’ll cost you less than a dollar to write, and am now going to do so. Trump has, as usual, exaggerated everything; but believe me, if the Supremes stopped him, it would be the greatest thing they could ever do. Pass this idea on, and maybe we can save 2026!
Trump thinks China’s ”Xi” is his friend, and still thinks he can change “Xi” and Putin’s conduct. How terribly wrong can anyone be? Xi can’t speak a single word of English. Not a single word, and any communication between Xi and Trump, is done through translators. Have the translators accurately translated?

Do you like to dream? Just imagine how grand the Trump Presidency would be, or possibly could be, if all he did was reduce the bureaucracy, seal the border and deport illegals! Get rid of the Dept. of Education, and most foreign aid? Great! He’s done some great things, but he has almost singlehandedly, destroyed any chance of a Republican win, a bit less than one year from now.

China? They’re our enemy, and Xi is also. China is already virtually bankrupt because of stupid, ignorant real estate bungling, which will take years to unscramble, if it is indeed possible. Does anyone really believe China’s ‘growth’ statistics? Russia’s oil industry has been crippled by drones the Ukraine’s have made themselves! Want to hurt China without tariffs? Simply have Trump, in his many press conferences say that, “For Christmas, or any other time, do no not buy anything made in China,” That would be repeated by the media endlessly and that would do more to harm China than any Trump tariff.

As a Republican-libertarian, I’m in favor of free trade, and let the weakest fail, as in nature. Our enemies are communists, anti-free trade, and have failed ‘economics 101,’ so they will self destruct eventually, and government harm in the form of tariffs, only makes their self destruction easier.

Speaking of ‘aid,’ aren’t you tired of the stock market and the hundreds of expensive ‘wealth managing’ outfits, sold to clients, which totally depend on future stock happenings, which they think that can predict? Not a one ever advocates gold or silver. I can easily predict the future of anything, and that is simply “UP,” in terms of prices. It is a classic case of logic, and that is, ’The more of anything there is, the less they will be worth,’ (Stott’s law), and that includes backed by nothing dollars, or backed by even less than nothing bit-coins. Will our budget ever be balanced? Will welfare ever be reduced and make the populace self sustaining and at least feed themselves? Of course not, as politicians would lose their purchased offices, so everything’s prices will go up, till it becomes so absurd, that the whole thing will collapse, like every other nation in history. Our dollar has already lost 95% or more of its purchasing power of 75 years ago.

There’s a series of history shows in You Tube, on a site called “Memory Lane,” and “History Lounge” or similar. These sites are really great, and show nickel Cokes in vending achiness taking nickels, 27 cent gasoline, and $3,300 new homes. These are from the 50’s & 60’s! Check them out, as they’re fascinating, if you want to see old stores, cars, roads, songs, etc. Stupid can’t be fixed, or all the stupidity of those thinking that dollars are a smart way to save, prove it, and that’s my dependable prediction of the future.
